Typically, lack of rainfall will limit the
poppy bloom each spring. While Lancaster experienced a little more
than average rainfall in 2008, the winds were relentless. While all of these
images were taken at the reserve, I had to resort to an extremely high ISO
and high shutter speeds and 12-24 and 200-400 zoom lenses to capture
anything that resembled poppies.
