By January, egret
babies are on their own and their larger parents are free to
fly from tree to tree. In fact, the larger egrets become
quite active and can be a lot of fun to photograph.
The image was
taken with a 80-400 VR zoom, hand held using ISO 400 film. I
have photographed a lot of egrets but this is the first time
that I have captured the sheer strength of the bird.
