The US Open  experienced some exciting 15 foot wave fronts as spray dowsed the Huntington Beach Pier.  Awesome.  Local, Brett Simpson won the contest but Kelly Slater nailed some monster waves.

The marine environment finally got to my 300-800 lens and affected the ability of the lens to auto focus or even focus to infinity.  

 Great surf, great surfers, improving lighting conditions and a lens that is failing.  As a result, most of the images are slightly out of focus. Ugh.
