Introductory Concept:

Creating an internet slide show with music can be achieved with a single SWF (flash) file

that is attached by hyperlink into a FrontPage based web site.   

SWF'n Slide Pro creates 2 files:

     1.  SNS file is a working file in which any changes can be made.

     2.  SWF file which is created automatically on request from the SNS file.   

 I.    Start Process:

     1.  Create a folder and place all of the JPEGs in it.

                 (The JPEGs should be reduced to 900 pxlht then 15 pxl wide PShop border added)

                  IMAGE ... CANVAS SIZE ... select PIXEL first, then enter 15 in width & height boxes.

                  tip:  Put "flash" at the beginning of each file name - so can be identified in FrontPage folders      

     2.  Place a music MP3 file in the same folder   

 II.   Open SWF'n Slide Pro:

            (before starting, make sure there are only JPEGS and MP3 files in the folder)

     a.  Create slide show from folder.

     b.  Double click directory.

                (all JPEGs in folder will be loaded)   

                (if image blacked out, jpeg file name is too long)

 III.  Slide Show Properties Icon:

         - General:

               800 x 600 ... PROTECT ... DISABLE PRINTING

         - SWF:

               PLAY FOREVER

         - Sound:

               check PLAY SOUND...browse MP3 file...quality: HIGH ... PLAY FOREVER

  IV.  Slide Properties Icon: 

          - FX:  (click on first slide before starting)

            transition: FADE IN... duration: LONG  (click APPLY TO EACH SLIDE)

                 (tip: on first slide, no fade in)

    3.  Save Project as SNS Icon:  (optional)

    4.  Export as SWF Icon: 

    5.  Preview Slideshow Icon: 

  V.  File Name Convention:

   DIR: Surfing-SWF

               surfing-swf.swf                          (7,000 kb)

               surfing-nomusic-swf.swf            (4,500 kb)

After creating one set of files, move it to a different sub-folder or it will be included in the next slide show.)

  VI.  Adding to web site:

     1.  Copy SWF file into FrontPage directory.

                     (image JPEG files should be between 100-400 kb, SWF file up to 4,000 kb)

     2.  Create hyperlink from FrontPage.
