Introductory Concept:

Batch process a directory of large JPEG files (e.g. from a football game) to smaller JPEG files that can be quickly uploaded to a photo printing web site.  

   

   

Directions:

     1.  width: 40%    /    height: 40%

     2.  format:  jpeg

     3.  quality:  75

     4.  rename:  lower case  /  spaces & underscore  /  prefix:  b-

     5.  misc:  antialias

     6.  output to different folder  /  select folder

 

   

Dimension/Compression Results:

       40%    3,000 - 5,000 kb    to   100 - 200 kb

       50%    3,000 - 5000 kb     to   170 - 270 kb

       60%    3,000 - 5000 kb     to   230 - 370 kb

 

  Settings
    BIMP -  (Further resizing to JPEGs)
 

     1.  From MY COMPUTER, create a new folder called BIMP located under Bellamax\proxy\enhanced.

     2.  Open BIMP and go to UPSHOT subdirectory

       Nikon D2H JPEG Fine = 1,800 kb /  Upshot = 800 / Bimp = 200
