Technically a great lens
but difficult to use, especially for moving subjects in dim light such as
butterflies in a shaded area. The 105 mm Micro Nikkor is very
hand holdable, but the 200 is much heavier and magnifies all minor
camera/lens movements making it much more difficult to hand hold this
lens. The use of a tripod will also make it more difficult to chase
moving subjects. The lens absolutely excels at close-ups of still
images such as flowers. The lens's 200 mm perspective allows control
of focus and backgrounds that cannot be duplicated by shorter focal length
close-up lenses. |
