This is a great general purpose lens in that it covers moderate wide angle views to portraits. Quality seems to be very satisfactory, especially at the lower end of the range. In the field, the lens is great for scenic images, works well mechanically, but there are those occasions where I could use a wider view, perhaps 20 or 22 mm.
