East. Giant Eland
Never say never. The above image was captured with a 200-400 F4 vibration reduction zoom. There is absolutely no way that I would hand hold this lens. Strictly for use with a monopod or tripod.
Then, while walking through the African Safari section of Wild Animal Park near San Diego, this Eastern Giant Eland became infatuated with a little girl standing near the railing to the exhibit. I grabbed my 200-400 and ran off several shots hand held. In spite of the lens's size and weight, the image was successful.
