Generally, I pay more attention to individual butterflies, lighting, and background. I was just about ready to quit for the day and noticed a couple of butterflies hanging from an orchid. I took a number of images as the butterflies fluttered around at different angles.
The image above was captured on a D2X with 200-400 VR zoom on carbon tripod with ball head.
