Duck in Flight

Compared to photographing seagulls, photographing ducks in flight is major league.  Seagulls flight patterns are smooth and predictable.  With ducks, the wings are flapping wildly, their flight patterns are erratic, and most camera's auto focus mechanisms have a difficult time discerning the duck from the background due to limited contrast.  However, while I only get about a 1% success rate, when you do get a decent image, its almost as exciting as originally viewing the duck in flight.
