| The popularity of butterfly
houses at zoos has greatly increased the photographer's opportunities of
capturing butterfly images. However, capturing images without
a flash unit is still challenging. Many butterfly houses are
positioned so that absolutely no natural sun light ever reaches the
foliage inside the house. This makes it difficult to expose and
capture the vivid colors of the butterflies. Note the outline of the
butterfly on the bottom of the leaf as a ray of sunlight lit up the
butterfly.
