EPIPHYLLUM
Late May through early June is a prime time in Southern California to photograph Epiphyllum in a greenhouse environment. These flowers are available in many colors and the blooms can be massive. Since the flower generally hangs from its cactus like foliage, it's fairly easy to control the background image. The photograph above was taken with an 80-400 VR zoom lens at about 1/30 th of a second.
