Hummingbird

Never pass up on an opportunity.  I was equipped to photograph egrets when I came across this little hummingbird  checking out a really intriguing flower slightly past its bloom.  I quickly aimed my 80-400 VR zoom (400 mm) at the hummingbird and only got off one shot.

Most hummingbird photographers generally carry copious amounts of lighting equipment and other accessories to photograph hummingbirds in fill color.  This shoot is completely different and exudes a totally different feeling.  In fact, none of the my hummingbird images is your typical, highly technical photograph.  Check them out.
