Triple Sunflower
The sunflower image was taken while wandering around a public vegetable garden which contained many small plots and is worked by local residents. These gardens are common in many larger cities and contain any number of eclectic plots plans and unique plantings. Each garden will change rapidly with the season so a weekly visit is advisable.
Last August, while photographing in a public garden in Fullerton, I noticed this fantastic, multi bloom sunflower. This single plant was so massive that I ended up shooting several rolls of film at many different angles, trying to avoid the standard, straight on view.
