Pink Tulips. I will generally try to shoot the typical insurance shot of a subject followed by a number of more creative images. At the latter stage, I shoot first and think later. I've seen some photographers spend an hour on a single subject and achieve an absolutely technically perfect image. Not this image; it has a couple of patterns and colors going on at the same time giving it a kind of rough, natural feeling
The image was taken with a 200 mm micro lens mounted on a carbon fiber tripod with ball head and electronic release. I generally shoot this type of image at F11 and let matrix metering determine the shutter speed.
